Saudi Minister of Media Salman Al-Dosari on Sunday congratulated the winners of the fourth Media Excellence Awards 2023 during a ceremony in Riyadh.
The event, held in collaboration with the Human Capability Development Program, was attended by industry experts and professionals from around the world, the Saudi Press Agency reported.
The awards saw the advancement of nearly 20 entries out of 2,355 submissions to the final stage, competing across six media tracks.
More than 90 government agencies and at least 65 participants from the private and nonprofit sectors took part.
Saudi poet Khalaf bin Hazal was awarded a special honor for his patriotic songs and his valuable poetic collection, which has been popular in Saudi Arabia for decades.
The SPA won the photography award for a shot titled “A Picture for a Thousand Reports,” The Independent Arabic newspaper clinched the press material gong for “Journalism in the Language of Infographics,” and the national song award was given for the work “Saheroon.”
The Ministry of National Guard won the creative video category for “My Children are Redeemed,” Riyadh Radio secured the audio producer section for the program “You We Care,” while the television producer accolade went to the Saudi channel for its “Earth” program.
The awards also honored several individuals, personalities, and organizations for their media, social, and cultural contributions.
Al-Dosari congratulated the winners and thanked all those who entered for the awards.
