Saudi Arabia’s aid agency carried out aid projects to help unprivileged communities in Sudan and Bangladesh.
In Sudan, the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) distributed food aid and shelter supplies to 1,565 displaced families in Wad Madani, the capital of the state of Gezira.
The initiative was part of the Saudi relief airlift, led by KSrelief, aimed at assisting the Sudanese people whose country has been reeling from violence triggered by clashes between the army and paramilitaries.
The aid agency concluded its ‘Noor Saudi Arabia’ voluntary program to combat blindness in Bangladesh, which was held in cooperation with Al-Basar International Foundation, reported Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
During the one-week campaign, the KSrelief’s volunteer medical team examined 4,749 cases, distributed 1,205 glasses, and performed 484 successful cataract operations.
“This comes within the voluntary projects provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by KSrelief, to support the medical sector in many different countries.
