Hundreds of Smurfs fans gathered in the center of the town of Landerno in Brittany in northwestern France in an attempt to break the world record for the largest gathering of blue cartoon characters.
More than sixty years after the birth of the Smurfs, this “virtuous” cartoon series, consisting of 99 males and one female, continues to attract millions of viewers around the world.
