The famous American broadcaster, Oprah Winfrey, visited the ancient city of Petra, in southern Jordan, with her friend Gail King, during her tour in Jordan, which included visits to Wadi Rum and Aqaba.

She added that seeing the details of the city of Petra “takes 3 days, but we spent only 3 hours in it,” calling on her followers to put this site on the list of must-see places.

Visited Jordan this week so much to see and experience! We visited the site where John the Baptist baptized Jesus, Petra and all its fascinations, camels, and the spot where the big boulder comes rolling out of Indiana Jones. So much history there in the “Rose City,” voted one of the 7 new wonders of the world. It takes 3 days to really see it all we only spent 3 hours. Put it on your must see list if you haven’t already!

And Oprah continued, “I visited Jordan this week and there was a lot of things to see and experience, and I have always wanted to see Petra.”

She added, “We are in Aqaba in Jordan, a city that the Times magazine invited to visit during the year 2023 as part of a list of 100 cities.”

Oprah said: “Our trip began in the Dead Sea, and we went to the site of the baptism of Jesus Christ, and we took some water from the river, and then we went to Petra. If you have not been there before, I tell you you must must go to see it, it is shockingly amazing.”
