Dr. Olesa Savelyeva revealed a group of diseases that can be exacerbated by a change in weather.
The doctor points out that changing weather exacerbates many chronic diseases that people suffer from: asthma, chronic joint diseases, cardiovascular diseases, traumatic brain injuries, chronic sinusitis, upper respiratory infections and seasonal allergies. Some people also suffer from mental disorders and trauma.
According to her, it seems that the sudden fluctuations in temperature and atmospheric pressure are a test for the immune system and the musculoskeletal system of the human body. Therefore, the body weakens when it tries to adapt to these changes in the weather, which leads to exacerbation of chronic diseases.
She says: “The most serious complications that the body faces is the exacerbation of chronic cardiovascular diseases. These complications can occur against the backdrop of a high blood pressure level with a low air temperature. These changes increase the risk of myocardial infarction, high blood pressure and angina pectoris.” .
The doctor points out that the low level of atmospheric pressure, which is accompanied by a high air temperature, also poses a threat to human health.
She says, “In such climatic conditions, the percentage of oxygen in the air decreases, which can lead to myocardial infarction and stroke. The people most at risk are those who suffer from chronic hypoxia.”
And she adds: Although every person tolerates weather changes according to the characteristics of his body and his health condition, there is a way to prevent complications – consulting a doctor who will provide the necessary instructions to protect the body and, when necessary, prescribe the necessary treatment.
