Announcing the success of the operation to separate Yemeni Siamese twins “Amwada and Rahma” in Saudi Arabia

The Saudi doctor, Abdullah Al-Rabiah, the general supervisor of the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center, announced the operation to separate the Yemeni Siamese twins as “affection and Rahma” and without complications.
Al-Rabiah, head of the medical and surgical team that performed the operation, confirmed that the vital signs of the two girls are stable, pointing out that they are now in two separate beds.
The operation was carried out today, Thursday, at King Abdullah Specialist Children’s Hospital in Saudi Arabia, and 28 doctors and specialists participated in the operation, along with technicians and nursing staff.

The operation took place in six stages: anesthesia, preparation, initiation of the separation process, separation of the liver and intestines, organ reconstruction, and coverage.
According to Al-Arabiya, the number of twin separation operations reached 52 (within the Saudi program for separating Siamese twins), which included twins from 23 countries on three continents around the world.
