McDonald’s raises the price of its main meals for the first time in 14 years

Western media sources revealed that McDonald’s will raise the prices of its most important meals served to its customers, for the first time in 14 years, against the backdrop of global inflation and rising costs.
The sources indicated that the company will add an additional 10 to 20 cents to its meals, on most of its meals.
According to “Sky News”, the company is one of many companies that have been affected by rising costs of fuel, components and essential items and transferred them to (consumer) customers, including consumer goods giant “Marmite” and “Magnims”.
These amendments affected one of the most important and famous McDonald’s meals, which is the “cheeseburger”, whose price has remained fixed at about 99 cents for more than 14 years, as the price of the meal will be adjusted again, bringing its price to 1.19 pounds ($ 1.43). .
A McDonald’s spokesperson told Sky News that breakfasts, mains, large coffees and boxes of McNuggets are among the menu items whose price can go up by 20p.

In turn, McDonald’s chief executive in Britain and Ireland, Alistair Marow, said: “Some prices will remain unaffected, but some will continue to vary across our restaurants.”
He continued, “We understand that any price increases are not good news, but we have delayed and reduced these changes for as long as possible.”
