Pigs attack a Russian citizen and claim his life!

Russian media sites circulated the news of a citizen who died after being attacked by a herd of pigs.

“A resident of the village of Thelma, Osulsky district, died after being attacked by a herd of pigs,” a statement from the Prosecutor’s Office of the Irkutsk region said.

The statement added: “The animals were grazing near the man’s land, and when the latter tried to expel the pigs, one of them attacked him and bit him in the leg. The man died in a medical facility as a result of severe bleeding.”

The statement indicated that law enforcement officers in the aforementioned area are currently checking the compliance of residents there with animal husbandry laws.
For their part, the residents of the village in which the man died indicated that “they had previously submitted numerous complaints against the owner of the pig herd, and that his animals have long roamed the village lands and caused damage to public and private properties, and the children of the village were also afraid of them.”
