A “tragic end” for an old woman who fell into a pool full of crocodiles

An elderly woman died tragically after falling into a pool of water near her home in the US state of Florida, according to the British newspaper, “Daily Mail”.

The source said the woman, whose identity has not yet been revealed, fell into a crocodile-filled pond near her home at the Boca Royal Golf and Country Club in Inglewood.

He added, quoting the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office, that the accident occurred Friday night at around 8 pm.
Investigators stated that while the old woman was struggling to survive above the surface of the water, two crocodiles were seen swimming towards her, and then grabbed her without giving her a chance to escape her life.
The woman was declared dead at the scene, while specialists at the Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission removed the alligators from the pond.

The woman’s death is the latest in a series of recent crocodile attacks in the southern United States, where the past two months have witnessed a number of similar incidents in Florida and South Carolina.
