Ukraine joins NATO’s Technology Cooperation Program

Today, Tuesday, Ukrainian Defense Minister Alexei Reznikov announced that Ukraine has become a member of the Operational Program (MIP), which implements technological cooperation between the armies of NATO member states.
“According to the results of the voting at the annual meeting of the MIP Steering Group, Ukraine, as a participating member, now has the right to jointly develop and amend the main NATO standards regarding the interaction of combat control systems and related standards,” the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense published, citing the minister. .
According to him, Ukraine has strong potential in the field of information technology and is a worthy NATO ally, and “I am sure that we will offer our experience in the development of collective security.”

According to the ministry, the Multilateral Interoperability Program (MIP) – a program of technological cooperation between the armed forces of NATO member states, was created at the level of national developers of combat control information systems.
In turn, the head of the Center for Innovation and Development of Defense Technologies, Colonel Marat Utyushev, noted that Ukraine can now strengthen cooperation with NATO and non-NATO countries.
Earlier, NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg said that NATO supports Ukraine’s desire to join the alliance, but its entry requires the unanimity of all member states.
