Loss of appetite: normal or occasional?

In the warm season, many begin to eat less food. What is the cause of lack of appetite?
Mikhail Ginzburg, a nutritionist, said in an interview with “Sputnik”: “The body temperature is one of the factors that control the human behavior in eating, so there is nothing certain that appetite may decrease in the heat.”
He explained that when we eat food, part of the energy is released in the form of heat, and this serves as a signal to us that it is time to stop if the body temperature drops, this is a signal to start eating, and that we need energy.
The doctor added that the lack of appetite during the hot season may have its advantages, as you do not need to force yourself to eat a lot of food, and it is better to drink more water, sugar-free drinks, vegetables and fruits. So this could be a moment for seasonal detox and recovery.
The doctor noted that if the heat is over, and the appetite does not return, it is better to visit the doctor and conduct tests, because in this case, loss of appetite may be a symptom of some diseases, but in this case there will be other symptoms. Diseases accompanied by anorexia are characterized by weakness, malaise and pain. The appetite also disappears with the increase in temperature.
