A British court has sentenced a young woman to eight months in prison, after authorities discovered that she had taken 150 theoretical and practical driving tests, rather than others.
Inderjet Kaur, 29, of Carmarthenshire, admitted taking the tests between 2018 and 2020, rather than other people who were finding it difficult to learn and speak English.
Swansea Crown Court heard testimonies regarding suspicions that had grown in some driving test centers that Cor was impersonating other people, and the facts were reported to the police, according to the BBC.
Detective Stephen Maloney said Core’s crimes were motivated by greed.
Caroline Hicks, of the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency, said it was possible that test results that people had passed fraudulently could be revoked.
“The driving tests and theory tests are meant to help ensure that people have the knowledge, skills and correct behavior to drive on our roads,” she added.
“Circumventing the tests puts lives at risk,” she said.
