Australian singer Victoria Polonina was suffering from severe headaches for several months, before she received the “shocking news”, according to the British newspaper, “Daily Mail”.
The source said that Victoria, 31, was suffering from migraines, fatigue and brain fog, and later became unable to move.
Last April, Polonina decided to have an MRI after her headache became unbearable.
On May 12, she received the shocking news that she had brain cancer.
Doctors stated that the tumor in her brain had been growing for nearly 10 years, but severe symptoms did not appear until the last period.
In a press statement, Victoria Polonina highlighted: “I thought my mind would explode… I was screaming in pain.”
She added, “Sometimes I lost consciousness… I don’t understand why I am in a certain place, who I am, and whether I should leave or stay.”
Victoria underwent surgery to remove the tumor, and then spent 12 months of chemotherapy and radiation.
She stated, “My message to everyone is to always give priority to health, not to delay or cancel important examinations or medical appointments.”
The Australian singer became famous after participating in the “The Voice” competition 10 years ago, and she also maintained her career in the field of teaching.
