Gasoline prices in the United States have risen to unprecedented levels

Gasoline prices in the USA have soared to unprecedented levels, with the national average price per gallon exceeding $5 for the first time ever in US history.
According to a statement issued by the Automobile Club of America “AAA”, the average price of gasoline today is $5, while its price in some American cities has reached the threshold of $7 per gallon and more at some stations.
The national average price jumped 19 cents last week alone, up by about $1.93 from this time last year, according to the Emirates News Agency.
It is noteworthy that the White House announced earlier that US President Joe Biden will develop a strategy to combat high gasoline prices, to find alternative fuel sources, including more biofuels and blending gasoline with ethanol.
