The Russian ambassador to Britain, Andrei Kelin, confirmed that the Russian side had not received any request from London to extradite the British mercenaries who were captured in eastern Ukraine.
Earlier, President of the Donetsk People’s Republic Denis Pushilin said that the British mercenaries faced charges at a hearing in the Donetsk People’s Republic on June 6.
At the end of April, the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Donetsk Republic opened a criminal case against the mercenaries. At the end of May, the investigation into the case was completed.
