A British newspaper claimed that the Egyptian Mohamed Salah, the Liverpool star, had decided his next destination after the expiration of his contract with his team in the summer of 2023.
The Mirror newspaper reported that Salah told his close friends that he had made up his mind to leave Liverpool and join Barcelona.
According to the newspaper, Salah told his friends that he was ready to sign a new contract with Liverpool, before receiving an offer to move to Barca.
The newspaper added that Barcelona promised Mohamed Salah to give him a large salary commensurate with his requests.
And earlier, the British newspaper, “Mirror”, reported, quoting its sources, that Barcelona had informed Mohamed Salah of the possibility of including him in the Catalan team, but next summer as a free deal after the expiration of his contract.
The newspaper pointed out that what strengthens Barcelona’s position is the deal to name its stadium to Spotify for approximately 235 million pounds.
And the newspaper confirmed in its report that Mohamed Salah had already given a promise to move to Barcelona next summer in a free transfer deal.
She pointed out that the Barcelona negotiations are the main reason behind the lack of agreement to renew the contract between Liverpool and Mohamed Salah.
She explained that Salah’s failure to renew his contract with Liverpool before the start of next season, the English team may be forced to accept the offers made to the Egyptian star in order to achieve a financial benefit.
And Mohamed Salah had confirmed before the Champions League final against Real Madrid, that he will continue with Liverpool next season, which is the date of the end of his contract with the team.
It is noteworthy that Mohamed Salah’s contract with Liverpool will expire in 2023, and although there is an intention to renew his contract with the Reds, there are differences over the weekly wage for the Egyptian player.
