British station under fire for Tom Cruise and Queen Elizabeth’s “Jubilee”

A British television station has been criticized on social media for its coverage of Queen Elizabeth’s platinum jubilee celebration.
Users of social networking sites criticized what was stated in an interview conducted by the station’s presenters with the American actor, Tom Cruise, on the sidelines of the celebration of the “Jubilee” of the Queen of Britain.
The focus of the objection to the coverage of the British station was that its TV presenter, with Tom Cruise, touched on his latest movie, “Top Gun: Maverick”, which will be released in cinemas on May 24.
Speaking to broadcasters Philip Schofield and Julie Eitchingham, before the ceremony began, Tom Cruise said: “I am honored to be here, it is a real privilege, the Queen of Britain is just a woman I respect a lot, a person of immense dignity.”
Cruz continued his admiration for the Queen, recalling a conversation he once had with her husband, the late Prince Philip, about helicopters.
After that, announcer Philip Schofield, with Tom Cruise, touched on his new movie, and many on social networking sites questioned the extent to which this had to do with the Queen of Britain, and accused the American actor of promoting his movie through the celebration of Queen Elizabeth’s “Jubilee”.

“Why is Tom Cruise tying his movie to, I think this was some kind of concert / pageant to celebrate the long reign of the Queen of Britain,” one user said on Twitter.

Another user wrote: “Why are we interviewing Tom Cruise about his career on a show meant to celebrate the Queen’s Jubilee? I want things about the Queen and the royal family, not this one.”

The movie “Top Gun: Maverick” is the second part of one of Tom Cruise’s most famous films during his career, which was shown in 1985, and through which he achieved a resounding success, and embodies in its events the role of a war pilot.
