Bella Hadid denounces the Israeli army’s attacks on Shireen Abu Akleh’s funeral

The Palestinian-American model, Bella Hadid, mourned the death of the Palestinian journalist, Sherine Abu Aqleh, who was killed by the Israeli army while covering the events in the Jenin camp in the West Bank.

Hadid interacted with the event through her account on “Instagram”, where she published several photos of Shireen Abu Akleh, and the attacks on the funeral by the Israeli army, and wrote: “This is the type of torture and violations that Palestinians are subjected to at the hands of the Israeli military occupation.”

Hadid added, asking why the world did not react to what is happening with the Palestinian people: “Regardless of who you are, how can you watch this and not cry out in anger and cry painful tears… How can you not see your mother, father, grandfather, sister, brother, in the eyes of our people?” ! why do not you see?”.

In her post, Hadid said, “Not only to watch a veteran like Shireen be scorned and thrown like this, on her way from the hospital to church, for the last time to rest in peace, but also to watch the elderly and people in mourning being beaten, pushed down, and afraid for their lives.” their lives. !! “.

“I’m lying here feeling helpless, and there are people already sitting behind their computer screens trying to validate it! Until they find excuses for it!! There is no justification for this kind of behavior. Especially on the most sacred land in the world.”

Bella Hadid wondered about the feelings of the Palestinian people while they were subjected to such violations: “What kind of threat do people feel in mourning a loved one? This is a funeral procession for the comfort of a Palestinian warrior and veteran legend. Beyond anything she is a human being.”

Hadid pointed to the life of journalist Shireen Abu Akleh and the power of her words that posed a threat to the Israeli army and said: “Although we have never failed to remind us that our existence as Palestinians is generally a threat, as a journalist or not, Shirin did not have weapons, and did not show any violence, only a camera On the other hand? A sniper’s bullet in the head. Repeated shots at anyone trying to help revive it. What do you have to hide in order to keep killing our journalists? That says enough about this military regime, their government, and the geopolitical game they are exhausting their people.”

Hadid denounced the Israeli army’s attack on Abu Aqila’s funeral and wrote: “While mourning the loss of Shireen, the Israeli forces did their best to silence the mourners by hitting them with batons, tear gas, kicks below the belt and more violence, as if they were not trying to control enough, they want to control emotions. Palestinian voices, losses, grief, plus the rest of existence.”

Hadid concluded: “This video of a Palestinian man using one hand to lift Shirin’s coffin and the other to protect his head from the attack of the Israeli soldiers. It talks about the strength and continuity of the Palestinians’ dignity, honor and resistance.”
The American supermodel had criticized, through her personal account on “Instagram”, the news of the killing of Sherine Abu Akleh, and published by the American newspapers, and published a follow-up to the global reactions, as soon as she received it, moment by moment, on her account of her friends and followers through the feature of comic stories.
