Revealing the results of the first stage of the autopsy of the corpse of the journalist, Sherine Abu Akleh

The Director of the Justice Institute at An-Najah National University in Palestine, Rayan Al-Ali, revealed the results of the autopsy of the body of the Palestinian journalist, Sherine Abu Akleh, who was assassinated today, Wednesday.
And the Palestinian Wafa news agency quoted Al-Ali as saying that the preliminary autopsy results revealed that the bullet that hit Abu Aqila was directly fatal.
Rayan Al-Ali’s statements came during a press conference, during which he said: “It was found that the bullet caused a massive laceration to the brain and skull, and the weapon used is of a very fast type, and a deformed projectile was seized, which is currently being studied.”
In a related context, the head of the Palestinian Journalists Syndicate, Nasser Abu Bakr, said that the file of attacks and targeting of journalists had been referred to the International Criminal Court, describing the killing of journalist Abu Aqila as “a tragedy, and that her execution was a full-fledged crime, targeting journalists.”
And the Palestinian Ministry of Health announced, earlier today, the killing of journalist Shireen Abu Aqleh, by Israeli army bullets, while storming the Jenin refugee camp.
The Palestinian presidency said that Israel bears full responsibility for this heinous crime, which is part of an Israeli daily policy against the Palestinian people, their land and their holy sites.
For his part, Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett said the Palestinian Authority was rejecting an offer to conduct a joint investigation into her murder.
