“Doctor Strange” achieves huge revenues and tops the American cinema

Thriller and horror “Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness,” the sequel to the 2016 thriller about a neurosurgeon turned magician, topped North American box office space this weekend, taking in a whopping $185 million at the start.
The film stars Benedict Cumberbatch, Suchel Gomez and Elizabeth Olsen, and is directed by Sam Raimi.

After topping the number one spot for two consecutive weeks, the animated comedy “The Bad Guys” fell to second place with $9.7 million in revenue.

And the comedy and adventure movie (Sonic the Hedgehog 2) “Sonic the Hedgehog 2” came in third place, with $6.2 million.

The film stars Jim Carrey, James Marsden and Tika Sumpter, and is directed by Jeff Fuller.

And came fourth this week, the third part of the movie (Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore), “Fantastic Beasts: Dumbledore’s Secrets,” recording $3.8 million.

The film stars Eddie Redmayne, Catherine Waterston, and Mads Mikkelsen, and is directed by David Yates.

The epic thriller “The Northman” took fifth place with $3.3 million.

Directed by Robert Eggers, the film stars Alexander Skarsgard, Nicole Kidman, Anya Taylor and Ethan Hawke.
