In a strange incident, a Yemeni groom spent his first night in prison, as a result of what he did to his second wife in a hotel room in Taiz.
After the groom, who is in his fifties, and his “second” wife entered their hotel room, the bride entered the bathroom, and the husband closed the door on her, then lay on his bed and fell asleep.
The wife kept screaming and begging him to open the door, but he was already in his “seventh sleep”.
The bride continued screaming and knocking on the door, until the hotel staff heard her. They informed the criminal security, who arrived and broke into the door, to find the groom lying on the bed, while the wife was screaming from the bathroom asking for help, according to Yemeni media.
Here, security personnel woke the groom in a daze when they and the hotel staff were inside his room, before he and his wife were taken to the search center for investigation.
Witnesses stated that the security forces who searched his room were involved in stealing a “good” amount from the groom, who later filed a lawsuit against them.
After his release, the man filed a complaint against the security personnel who broke into his room and broke the door, accusing them of stealing 19,000 riyals.
After the newlyweds were detained and interrogated, they were deported to the prosecution, which released them, as there was no criminal case worthy of taking a judicial course.
