Israeli police commander car overturned

On Friday evening, Israeli police chief Yaakov (Kobi) Shabtai was involved in an accident after one of the tires of his car, which was also carrying members of his family, exploded.
And the Hebrew newspaper, Yedioth Ahronoth, said: “During the trip of the police chief, Yaakov Shabtai and his family on Route 6, on their way to eat the holiday meal (Passover) in Ashkelon (south), an explosion occurred in one of the car’s wheels and the car overturned as a result.”
“The police chief was not hurt in the accident, but two passengers sustained minor injuries,” she added.
The newspaper pointed out that next to Shabtai, the car was carrying his wife, daughter, security guard and driver.
Earlier in the day, Shabtai participated in a situation assessment conducted by Prime Minister Naftali Bennett following this morning’s clashes on the Temple Mount between Israeli police and worshipers.
