An expert reveals diseases that require reducing sugar intake

Russian nutritionist Elena Solomatina warned against consuming sugar, especially for people with chronic diseases.
And the expert wrote on the “Vechernaya Moskva” website, about the daily amount of sugar allowed for each person, adding that a healthy mobile person can focus on a volume of up to 60 grams per day. At the same time, we must not forget that sugar is present in many products in a latent form, for example, in sweets and soft drinks.
She continued, “The elderly and people with chronic diseases should limit the consumption of these products. We are talking about diabetes, insulin resistance, cancer, weight gain, fungal diseases and atherosclerosis.”

Previously, the maximum permissible amount of sugar, which can be eaten per day without harm to health, was revealed by nutritionist Mikhail Ginzburg. According to him, it should be 5% of the total daily calories or carbohydrates consumed. On average, it’s about 12 to 22 grams.
