A common drink that lowers blood pressure

High blood pressure is a common cardiovascular disease associated with high blood pressure. If not treated, and not controlled, it leads to severe consequences, such as stroke, heart attack, disability and even death.
The National Health Service in Great Britain published the results of a study stating that drinking 500 ml of orange juice per day leads to a decrease in systolic blood pressure.
The 12-week study documented the short- and long-term benefits of drinking orange juice, and the reduction in systolic blood pressure was “dose dependent” on the hesperidin content.
The researchers concluded that the hesperidin in orange juice lowers systolic blood pressure after “long-term use” and sometimes after a single dose.
Thus, drinking natural orange juice without added sugar or anything else may be ideal for controlling blood pressure in people with high blood pressure.
