Pentagon: $800 million in US military aid begins to arrive in Ukraine

The Pentagon announced that an $800 million US military aid package has begun arriving in Ukraine.

In a statement, Chief of the Information Office of the US Department of Defense, John Kirby, revealed that the United States is close to completing sending an additional package of military aid to Ukraine, estimated at $200 million.

In response to criticism from lawmakers who accused the Ministry of Defense of delaying the supply of aid to Kiev, Kirby said: “No, we do not believe that there is a delay in supplying it, it is quite the opposite.”

And he continued, “We have completed the delivery of an aid package of $350 million, which President (Joe) Biden approved about a month ago, and it was completed in just about three weeks, which is a record time.”

He added that the delivery of the aid payment in the amount of $ 200 million that Biden agreed to as soon as he agreed to the first batch is close to completion, expressing his belief that there is “one batch or so” of aid waiting to be delivered to Kyiv.
