Ticket prices for the comedy tour of comedian Chris Rock soared, after the Oscars and Rock being slapped by Will Smith, the New York Post reported.
The secondary market platform TickPick said that from Sunday night until Monday, the company sold more tickets to the comedian’s tour than it sold over the past month, and the ticket price was recorded from a minimum of $ 46 per ticket on March 18 to a minimum of $341 after the famous incident in Oscar Awards Ceremony.
Comedian Chris Rock will begin his Ego Death World tour on April 2 after a short layover at Boston’s Wilbur Theater starting Wednesday.
And American actor Will Smith had hit presenter Chris Rock during his presentation of the ceremony, after he “ridiculed” Smith’s wife, Jayda Pinkett, as Rock addressed her during the ceremony, saying: “I love you, Jayda, and I can’t wait to see you in GI Jane 2”, referring to The movie “GI Jane”, in which Demi Moore plays the role of a woman who joined the US Army and had to cut her entire hair.
Jayda didn’t find the joke funny, so her husband, Will Smith, went up on stage and slapped Chris in the face before returning to his seat, shouting, “Get my wife’s name off your filthy mouth.”
