Death misses “Abu Ali”, the owner of the most famous book stall in the Kingdom

Jordanian Minister of Culture Haifa Al-Najjar pledged to sponsor the “Arab Culture” booth in central Amman, after the death of its owner, known as “Abu Ali”.
She said: “Farewell to Abu Ali, the guardian of our culture. The time was for us to meet you on Friday evening, but fate was faster than us and forbade us to say goodbye.”
And she continued: “Today we lost a Jordanian cultural stature, which represented the spirit and history of Jordan… But we promise you that your library will remain a trust in our necks, we pledge to care and sustainability, so that your memory will remain alive in the hearts of all Jordanians.
The late owner of the kiosk, Hassan Ali Al-Birr, known as “Abu Ali”, was awarded the Jordanian Independence Medal of the fourth degree in 2007 in honor of King Abdullah II of Jordan for his efforts in serving culture.
The kiosk was established in 1978 and was established to sell books and magazines. The kiosk is a prominent landmark that attracts writers, writers and intellectuals from different countries.
