A video clip of a young woman who said that her friend was denied entry to a tourist restaurant in the Adliya area in the capital, Manama, spread on social networking sites in Bahrain, because of her wearing the hijab, which caused a sensation.
The pioneers of social networking sites circulated this clip, expressing their anger at this behavior, as the girl explained in the video that “she went with her friend to the “Lanterns” restaurant to be surprised that her friend was prevented from entering the restaurant because she was wearing the veil,” considering that “restaurants should avoid taking such actions. Decisions are made in a country where Muslims are the majority.

And the statement continued: “In this regard, the alternate director has been suspended from work, to investigate the issue spread across social media platforms.”
He continued, “As a gesture of goodwill from the restaurant’s management, we invite everyone to visit the “Lanterns” restaurant in Adliya on March 29, to taste the Indian cusine for free.”
