NATO is concerned about the possibility of China providing material support to the Russian operation in Ukraine

NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg criticized China for its stance on the Russian military operation in Ukraine, warning Beijing against providing material support to Moscow in this regard.
In a speech today, Wednesday, on the eve of the emergency NATO summit in Brussels, Stoltenberg accused China of “providing political support to Russia, including the dissemination of blatant lies and disinformation.”

The Secretary-General expressed NATO’s concern about the possibility of China providing material support to the Russian military campaign in Ukraine, adding: “I expect leaders to call on China to assume its responsibilities as a member of the UN Security Council, refrain from supporting Moscow’s war efforts, and join the rest of the world in Calling for an immediate and peaceful end to this war.”

On March 17, Chinese President Xi Jinping had a phone call with his US counterpart, Joe Biden, whose agenda was topped by the Ukrainian file.
