The Russian official added that the UAE is a promising commercial destination, and among the factors that attract companies to work in this country, preferential taxes, a competitive economy, low import rates and a favorable geographical location can be noted.
He continued, “Russian trade with this region (the UAE) increased in 2021 by 64.5% and amounted to $5.36 billion, while Moscow’s share of the total trade amounted to 20.6%, and trade between Moscow and the UAE increased by 116% last year and exceeded $1.1 billion.” .
The Deputy Mayor of the Russian capital indicated that Moscow is the main Russian source of non-commodity goods (other than energy) to the United Arab Emirates, representing 26% of the total exported commodity, pointing out that the volume of industrial exports increased by about 10.5 times, to reach $462.15 million. in 2021.
Russia and the UAE have strong and strategic relations, and Moscow and Abu Dhabi are working to strengthen economic cooperation and stimulate trade exchange, and the two countries have launched a joint fund to invest in joint projects.
