The American actress, Amy Schumer, said on Monday that the Oscar organizers had rejected her proposal to have Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky appear at his film awards ceremony, which will be held next week.
The comedian, who is one of the hosts of this year’s Academy Awards, revealed that her request to include a broadcast from the Ukrainian president was rejected by the ceremony’s producers, according to the American magazine “Newsweek”.
Amy Schumer said in an interview with “The Drew Barrymore Show”, presented by American actress, Drew Barrymore, that she “has already made an offer to show Vladimir Zelensky at the concert, whether via satellite during the live broadcast of the concert, or making a recording of it, This is because many people follow the concert, but it is not in the end who produces the show.”
The 94th Annual Academy Awards will be held next Sunday, March 27, in California, USA.
Russia began the military operation aimed at disarming the Ukrainian regime and ridding Ukraine of Nazism on February 24 in response to the request of the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics, which requested Russia’s help to end the attacks of the forces of the Ukrainian regime on them.
Russian President Vladimir Putin, addressing the Russian people, said that the conditions required immediate decisive action. He appealed to the Ukrainian military not to carry out the criminal orders issued by the regime in Ukraine, to lay down weapons and go to their homes.
