An incomplete collection of memoirs from the life of Emperor Peter the Great (1672-1725) from the collection of works belonging to Emperor Alexander II (1818-1881) was auctioned off for 600,000 rubles. He also sold rare volumes that were not overlooked by the literary censorship of the great Russian writer Lev Tolstoy for 380 thousand rubles.
It is noteworthy that the talented Russian poet of the third third of the twentieth century, Marina Tsvetaeva (1892 – 1941), known for her feminine sentimental poetry, was born into the family of the patron of the “Pushkin Museum” in Moscow, and married an officer in the Russian White Guard, then emigrated with him to the West and returned to Russia, where she faced Injustice and tragic suffering caused her premature death in 1941.
