Konstantin Gavrilov, head of the Russian delegation to the Vienna Security and Disarmament Talks, stressed that Russia will not be subject to sanctions and threats and will continue its own operation in Ukraine.
“During the meeting of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) in Vienna, I had to make it clear that the special military operation in Ukraine is aimed at preventing the extermination of civilians in the Donbass,” he said in a statement to Rossiya 24 TV channel.
He added: “Its goal is to prevent the outbreak of a third world war… We explained in detail that we see how things are developing, and we told everyone the backstory of these developments and said that we do not intend to be subject to sanctions and threats.”
“We will certainly continue our own process of demilitarization of Ukraine,” he added.
