UAE .. A child calls the Dubai Police for a funny reason

The sergeant at the command and control center in Dubai, Ismail Al-Saadi, said that a child called 911 because his mother was late to return home, and was unable to contact her because he did not have enough funds.
He added, “The child said that he is alone at home and is worried about his mother, and he asked for help to contact her.”

He added: “The call, although funny, reflects a human aspect that Dubai Police is keen on,” noting that “the mother was contacted directly and informed that her child wanted to check on her, and it was necessary that she follow up periodically as long as he was alone in the house.” She expressed her appreciation to Dubai Police and contacted him and reassured him.

In turn, the director of the center’s administration, Colonel Turki bin Faris, confirmed that “recipients of communications at the Command and Control Center in the General Department of Operations in Dubai Police receive hundreds of thousands of calls per month.”

He added, “We have received more than 5 million phone calls during the past year, each person’s quota per day ranges from 150 to 400 calls to the emergency helpline 999.”

However, “it was not without some funny communications.”
