Adele has reportedly pulled out of her scheduled BRIT Awards performance after cancelling her Las Vegas residency earlier this month.
The superstar infuriated many of her fans when she called off her shows in Sin City at the last minute.
British fans who flew out to Vegas to watch the singer perform were particularly frustrated at her cancellation.
And now it seems Adele will not be performing at the BRITS next month either, according to The Sun.
She had initially told event organisers she would perform at London’s O2 Arena.
But now, BRIT bosses are said to be “scrambling to find alternative arrangements” for the annual awards show on February 8.
A source told the publication: “Adele was confirmed to perform on the night, but has now pulled out — which has been a massive blow for the organisers.
“They are talking to her team to see if she can appear by videolink.
“It’s a massive headache but they want her involved in any way she will agree.”
The source added how show bosses are also now having to find someone to accept Adele’s awards on behalf of her, should she win.
According to the insider, Sam Smith, Ed Sheeran and Dua Lipa are amongst those who will be asked, but it’s “looking unlikely”.
It’s claimed bosses are hoping Stormzy, who is a huge fan of the singer, will accept an award for the songstress if she wins.
Nine days ago Adele tearfully cancelled her Las Vegas residency telling fans, “It just ain’t ready”.
It was recently revealed the Hello singer has moved in with her boyfriend Rich Paul after six months of dating.
The pair have been holed up at his £10million Beverly Hills mansion since she postponed her Las Vegas residency.
A neighbour told the Sunday People : “There’s been a lot of coming and going at the house in the last few days.
“I heard Adele has been staying there since Friday [January 21]. There’s security there which I’ve never seen before. They’ve hunkered down.
“It’s unusual Adele has been there for so long, because she has her own houses a few miles away in a private estate.”
