The Spice Girls are set to enjoy a very special reunion in just a few weeks time – as all five are expected to attend the wedding of Brooklyn Beckham.
The 22-year-old lad is due to tie-the-knot with 27-year-old American actress Nicola Peltz in April – and his proud mum Victoria, 47, aka Posh Spice herself, is said to have invited all her bandmates to join the celebrations.
This would mean 46-year-old Mel B, 46-year-old Emma Bunton, 48-year-old Mel C and 49-year-old Geri Horner would make rare Spice Girls reunion by joining their old bandmate at her eldest son’s big day.
It is unclear if the ladies will be performing at the event – but the wedding day itself is expected to be one of the major celeb nuptials of the year.
A source told The Sun on Sunday: “It was a lovely invitation and the girls are all excited to attend.
“It will be the first time they have all been together socially for some time, so they are looking forward to the chance to really catch up.
“While Nicola has opted to wear two Valentino dresses on the big day, they will have their pick of Victoria Beckham dresses if they like.”
The ceremony is expected to take place at Nicola’s family’s estate in Florida on April 9th with Gigi Hadid and Gordon Ramsay’s son Jack among famous faces expected to attend.
However, Brooklyn’s famous god father, 74-year-old Sir Elton John looks unlikely to join as he has live tour dates that might make travel to the wedding an impossibility.
The wedding might not be the only reason for a Spice Girls reunion in the months ahead – as the band have been teasing plans to tour again for months.
Mel C has been one of the loudest campaigners for a band reunion, saying just last month: “We’re constantly talking about it. The girls have had meetings and it’s something we all passionately want to do.
“We’re working through the ins and outs of Covid to try to make it happen.”
And the star had previously teased all five ladies could take to the stage to sing together at Glastonbury in 2023.
She said back in November: “I don’t think we’ve been asked in all honesty, we haven’t been asked to do it, but I do believe it could be the thing that would see all five girls on stage. So should we start a petition?”
While during that same month a source said: “The four girls have been discussing a world tour for a while, and this — very confidential — meeting was put in the diary so they could iron out the final details.
“The current plan is the tour will begin in Australia and go from there.
“They are all very excited that the wheels are now in motion, and are hoping to give their fans a 2023 tour bigger and better than 2019.”
