Barcelona ends the game of “cat and mouse” with Dembele

The Frenchman, Ousmane Dembele, the Barcelona winger, rejected a new offer from the Catalan club to extend his stay with Barca.

According to the Spanish newspaper, Mundo Deportivo, after months of a cat-and-mouse game between Dembele and Barcelona, and after the club made a great effort to try to persuade the player to continue, the French winger informed the club of his intention not to renew.

Dembele’s current contract with Barcelona expires next summer, so the French player can now sign with any club.

And the newspaper pointed out that Barcelona will withdraw the renewal offer from Dembele immediately, so that the French player cannot return, in his opinion.

She explained that Barcelona will offer Dembele for sale at a low price in the current winter Mercato.

In the event Dembele refuses to leave, Mundo Deportivo said that Barcelona intends to put him in the stands, especially after the recovery of Ansu Fati and Memphis Depay from injury, in addition to contracting Ferran Torres and Moroccan Abdel Samad Zalzouli’s apology for not playing in the African Nations.
