Google accuses Apple of making Android phone users second-class citizens… because of the “green bubble”

Google has accused Apple of taking advantage of bullying as part of a deliberate strategy to make Android phone users second-class citizens on its iPhone messaging service, iMessage.
The “iMessage” messaging service includes a number of features exclusive to iPhone owners, such as “memoji” and converting texts from Android phone users to green instead of the original blue color on the iPhone.
Google confirmed that this discrimination in treatment between iPhone and Android users caused psychological pressure on teenagers in America, and made many of them buy iPhones, and at other times, Android phone users were ostracized, especially with the emergence of their message. In the service of “iMessage” in a green bubble, according to a report by the American newspaper “The Wall Street Journal”.
And the official Android account on Twitter tweeted: “iMessage should not benefit from bullying, texting should bring us together, the solution is there, let’s fix this as one industry.”

While the head of “Android” at Google, Hiroshi Lockheimer, stressed that “putting exclusive features in iMessage for iPhone users is a documented strategy by Apple, and that using pressure on youth and bullying as a way to sell its products is deceptive.” For a company that has humanity and equality as an essential part of its marketing, and that the standards are in place today to fix all of this.”

Apple considered making iMessage available on Android in order to attract more users, but concluded that doing so would “do us more harm than help us,” according to the words of Apple’s manager, Phil Schiller.

Another Apple CEO, Craig Federighi, said that iMessage on Android phones simply removes an obstacle for iPhone-owning families to give their children Android phones.
It is noteworthy that “Google” has launched 13 messaging applications since the emergence of the “iMessage” service in 2011, and most of them failed.
