The new South Korean science fiction series “Silent Sea”, which will be shown on Netflix on December 24, has been listed in the first places on the Netflix platform, Yonhap Agency reported.
“Silent Sea” came seventh in the top 10 most popular TV shows on Netflix the previous day, according to the “Flix Patrol” website, which tracks statistics for the most important platforms in the world.
Flex Patrol reflects viewership’s 24-hour ratings for each category, and this ranking is based on data collected on December 24, the first day of the Silent Search show.
The Silent Sea is set in the distant future, where the Earth has been subjected to desertification and as a result has become barren, and a space exploration team is sent to the Moon to secure a sample from an abandoned space station on the Moon.
South Korean actress Bae Do Na starred in the series, with actor Gong Yoo, actress Kim Sun Young, and actor Jung Woo Sung serving as executive producer.
The series “Silent Sea” ranked first in South Korea, while it came in third place in Singapore and Thailand, fourth in Hong Kong, Indonesia and Vietnam, and fifth in Canada, the United States, Czech Republic, Malaysia and others.
On the other hand, other South Korean series were in the top ten, where the series “The Squid Game” ranked sixth, and the series “The King’s Affection” ranked ninth.
