Drivers draw a New Year’s tree in eastern Siberia

Motorists in the suburbs of Krasnoyarsk in Eastern Siberia at 19:00 on December 25 formed a New Year’s tree, which included 465 cars.

This was reported by the city’s traffic police department, which also participated in the event called “The Flash Mob”. The police put their cars at the top of the “pine tree”, where they lit the flashing beacons. As for the car cap, it formed the branches of a New Year’s tree.

One of the organizers of the Flash Mob, “Valery Biashurin,” said that the number of people wishing to participate in the event greatly exceeded the possibilities of the parking lot and did not accommodate all of them. He added, “If we could put 1,000 cars, the New Year’s tree would have been larger.”
He pointed out that FlashMob last year collected only 150 cars that created a New Year’s tree in conditions of minus 32 degrees Celsius. As for the weather this year, it was better, according to Valery Byachorin, so it was possible to put 465 cars that formed a wonderful pine tree.

He added that the flash mob event, which was held on the occasion of New Year’s Day, was attended by all car enthusiasts’ associations in the city, and the Traffic Police Department, led by Police Colonel Konstantin Kuligov, which once again demonstrated the solidarity between motorists and traffic policemen to ensure traffic safety on the region’s roads.
