Russia expands its capabilities in the production of nanosatellites

The Russian company “Sputnix” announced the launch of the first production site in Russia dedicated to the serial assembly of nano-satellite platforms.

“At the new production site, the serial assembly of the home-made CubeSat and OrbiCraft-Pro satellite platforms will be carried out, ranging in size from 1U to 12U and weighing from 1 to 24 kg,” a statement from the company’s press service said.

The statement indicated that the new production site will include several sections, each section has a degree of sterility and an air purification system commensurate with its tasks and the equipment it collects. between 2022 and 2024″.
For his part, the head of the Russian Sitronics Group, to which Sputnik is affiliated, Nikolai Bogyaev, said: “Our future plans aim to expand our capabilities in the production of multi-tasking CubeSat nano-satellites, which provide different types of services such as communication services, remote sensing services, and navigation line monitoring services. Navy”.
It should be noted that “Sputnix” had contributed to the production of many nano-satellites for Russia and a number of other countries, and some of them were launched into Earth orbits to act as Earth remote sensing satellites.
