The Lebanese pound fell to a record level against the dollar

Today, Tuesday, the exchange rate of the dollar in Lebanon, on the black (parallel) market, touched the threshold of 28 thousand Lebanese pounds, a record decline in the value of the pound since the start of the economic crisis in 2019.
The dollar exchange rate ranged between 27900 pounds for sale and 27950 pounds for purchase.

The dollar had recorded a significant decline after the announcement of the formation of the government headed by Najib Mikati, and that day the exchange rate of the dollar in the parallel market reached 15,700 pounds, but it returned to rise, especially after the Banque du Liban announced setting a new exchange rate for withdrawing from dollar deposits in Lebanese pounds at 8000 pounds to the dollar. the one.
