Recent studies have linked the health of human skin and its immunity against various skin diseases on the one hand, and the presence of gut bacteria on the other.
The National Center for Biotechnology Information in the United States of America published a study detailing the role of gut bacteria in protecting against a variety of skin disorders, as these bacteria are a major regulator of the immune system.
The study examined the role of gut bacteria in protecting against diseases such as atopic dermatitis, psoriasis, acne, dandruff, and even skin cancer.
As a consequence of the role that the bacteria in the intestine play in protecting the skin, any defect in it is reflected in the form of many skin problems such as acne, eczema, psoriasis, or skin infections.
Research has confirmed that three quarters of the body’s immune capabilities are in the intestines, which means that attention must be paid to a balanced diet to maintain this immune system, which also contributes to the fight against premature aging.
Experts point out the importance of the diet based on eating vegetables, fruits, legumes, whole grains and fatty fish.
The intermittent fasting diet helps protect the immunity provided by gut bacteria, as this system provides an opportunity for the body to renew its immune cells, as it depends on refraining from eating for 12 hours continuously.
