American startup Hermos has unveiled its prototype “Quarterhorse” vehicle, which will travel more than 5 times the speed of sound.
The company, “Hermes”, the manufacturer of the new aircraft, was able to conclude a contract with the US Air Force to manufacture three prototypes of the QUARTERHORSE unmanned aircraft for use.
It is noted from the appearance of the plane and the shape of its nose that its design is very close to the designs of spacecraft that appear in science fiction films.
According to the news published on the company’s website, the plane was unveiled in the presence of a variety of investors, senior industrialists, military and government officials, researchers, civil associations, and others.
In turn, the businessman, Vinod Khosla, and one of the investors in the project considered this event “almost impossible” three years ago, and added: “The impossible has turned into a reality, it is possible that there will be a real journey soon.”

The company tested the aircraft’s engine and made it run at its full potential, which amazed the audience.
In turn, Skylar Shuford, COO of the company, said: “Usually when an airline unveils a new plane, it is nothing more than Styrofoam and fiberglass (the materials from which planes are made). But our plane reveals an integrated model that we set on fire (i.e. it was turned on). its engine).
