Do you want to taste… a new “meat” burger

Have you ever wondered what it feels like to be a cannibal? A company in Sweden offered burgers for an entire week “with a taste of human flesh”.

As part of oomph’s “Cannibal Week” in Sweden, customers were served new burgers from a food cart in Stockholm.

But don’t worry, this is a company that produces exclusively vegan products, which means no one has had to sacrifice themselves in the process, according to Walla.

The company says that its goal is to give people the experience of enjoying the taste of meat, without actually eating meat, at the same time they admitted that their goal was also to provoke, shock, and a little disgust for people.

“We developed burgers as soon as we knew the flavor and texture we needed. This is our weird, alternative way of showing that it’s possible to eat sustainable plant-based meat,” said Anakin Linden, founder of the company.

And when the company was asked how they knew what flavor they had to achieve in order to mimic the taste of human flesh, they answered that they “dedicated hours of research to it.”

They said the company’s products can mimic the flavor of any meat, and that the new human burger is made with soy protein, mushrooms, seitan (wheat gluten), starch, and a secret seasoning blend.

The company’s chief admitted he had never tasted human meat, but the Smithsonian magazine once looked into the question of the taste of human meat and concluded that it would likely look like beef, but would have the flavor of pork or veal.
