A young man saves a family from a torrential torrent in Erbil

Activists on the media circulated a video clip showing the heroic stance of a young man rescuing a family stuck in a torrential torrent in Erbil.

The clip shows that the young man parked his truck near a car that was surrounded by a torrential torrent from 4 sides, so that the young man rescued whoever was in the car.

On Saturday, Iraqi media sources reported that a large flood had occurred in the neighborhoods of Erbil, the capital of the Kurdistan region in Iraq, causing flooding of many roads and causing significant damage to public facilities and cars.

Activists on social media circulated widely, scenes that can be described as “catastrophic”, as flood waters rushed into the city’s roads with great force and paralyzed the movement.

The source indicated, quoting eyewitnesses, that the rain water cut off the main road that connects Street 150 to one of the major residential complexes in the city, in addition to many paths.
