The Russian capital, Moscow, has won two World Travel Awards, confirming its position as the best tourist destination in Europe.
Moscow won awards in the nominations “Best Tourist Destination. City” and “Best State Tourism Organization in Europe”. The second prize was for the City Tourism Committee.
According to the website of the Russian Ministry of Tourism, Moscow won the best tourist center in Europe.
In 2020, Moscow won the main prize in the category “Best Tourist Destination in Europe. City”, outperforming the leading European cities. Among them are Barcelona, London, Paris, Rome, Venice, Saint Petersburg and others.
It is noteworthy that the International Prize was established in 1993, and is considered the most prestigious award in this field.
