Class 1 food and a “cornerstone” for living 100 years, according to studies

Diets or the diet that a person follows is one of the most natural factors affecting his health in the long run, as the human body derives energy through its digestive system, with the aim of supporting this complex system, starting from the cell to the organs to complete the body as a whole.

All studies confirm that foods integrated into the diet play an essential and influential role for human health because of the many elements that these foods contain, ranging from fruits to grains, meat, and others, from which the body derives those elements that are involved in the basic processes that support the functions and operations of organs.
Study: Diet cuts deaths by 17%

Most studies focus on people’s diets in order to obtain data that will identify certain categories of good foods. For example, a study published in the scientific journal Circulation followed citizens who follow a “Western” diet (in Europe), which It contains large amounts of red meat, processed foods, refined grains and sugar, and I compared it to a “sage” diet, which mostly includes a combination of legumes, vegetables, fruits, poultry, fish and whole grains.

After a follow-up of 18 years, the researchers found that those who adhered to the “wise” diet, which many call the “Mediterranean diet”, had a decrease in mortality rates by about 17% of all deaths, and deaths from cardiovascular disease decreased. They have a rate of 28%.

The study also found that those who depended on the Western diet had a 21 percent increase in overall mortality, and a 22 percent increase in deaths from cardiovascular disease.

A common food ingredient that supports you to reach 100 years

According to the article published in the American magazine “Eat This, Not That”, under the title “Food No. 1 for a life of more than 100 years according to science”, if diet plays a major role in the time we live on this earth, there must be food that outperforms over others in this feature.

According to the famous Journal of Food and Public Health, whose information is based on a team of physicians and academic researchers who make up a large advisory board, “Love beans are one of the best foods you can eat to live to 100 years.”

Studies confirm that kidney bean is a “cornerstone”

For many years, researchers have been studying the so-called “blue areas” in the world, which are the areas where there are the largest number of elderly people over the age of 100, and they found some similarities in terms of nutrients in these areas, especially legumes.

Researchers and scientists took these results and created, based on the data, what is known as the “blue zone diet” as a way to help people live longer.

According to the study published in “The American Journal of Lifestyle Medicine”, there are 9 common denominators between these areas, which include several habits such as movement, activity and low levels of alcohol consumption.

But the study noted that there are commonalities with some foods, such as eating more vegetables, with a heavy emphasis on beans as a “cornerstone of a centenarian diet”.

The researchers found that people in these regions who lived the longest ate about one full cup of beans per day, as beans provide a large amount of protein and plant fiber in addition to large amounts of fiber.

According to a review published in the International Journal of Molecular Sciences, polyphenols are found in many different types of beans (black, kidney, red, etc.). It has been shown to be anti-inflammatory, anti-diabetic, anti-obesity, anti-cardiovascular, and has protective properties.
