After tearing it up… The “Balloon Girl” painting is being auctioned in London with a 6-fold increase

After it was sold 3 years ago at a price that its owner did not like, the British street artist Banksy tore his painting “Balloon Girl”, and it was shown again Thursday in Britain after the title of the artwork was changed.

It is expected that the famous painting will sell for six times compared to its selling price in 2018, according to sothebys.

The title of the now-famous Banksy painting “Love Is in the Trash”, which depicts a girl holding a balloon in the shape of a heart.

The painting was reassembled on a diptych, having been torn in half three years earlier, with the strips hanging below the picture frame.

In 2018, the painting sold for just over £1 million (about $1.4 million). That price was much higher than estimates of between £200,000 and £300,000.
