WhatsApp asks users to be patient and promises to return things to normal

WhatsApp has asked users to be patient until the issue is resolved.

“We understand that some people are experiencing issues with WhatsApp at the moment,” the company said in a tweet.

The company added, “We are working to get things back to normal and will send an update here as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience!”

Facebook and a number of its affiliated websites suffered a technical malfunction this evening, Monday, without revealing the reason behind this malfunction so far.
The faults included the “Facebook”, “Instagram”, “Facebook Messenger” and “WhatsApp” platforms.

The Down Detector website, which monitors website outages, stated that many users reported having problems accessing Facebook, stressing that “the problem is comprehensive and global.”

And WhatsApp announced in a statement in February 2020, that the number of its users has reached 2 billion, up from the 1.5 billion users that the company registered by 2017.
